The meeting seats 4 times a year alternating between Calgary and Edmonton. A hosting calendar is drawn which puts hosts in groups of 3. During our meeting, various topics are deliberated upon. These include activities to foster the growth and development of the association and its members in Canada, helping newcomers of Mbum origin to settle in Canada among others. We celebrate joyful events such as births, graduations, promotions…etc of members. We also join in condoling with our members who are bereaved or sick.
We have a development plan to include and teach our children about the culture and values of the Wimbum. This we hope will serve as a foundational identity for them as grow and blend into the culture of their host country.
As part of our wellness goals, we encourage members to check on each other and communion together outside meeting days. We also have a plan of hosting more outdoor activities in the summer months and to invite more people to join and learn about this prestigious culture.
